Clicks are more expensive on LinkedIn than on Google or Meta. In return, the platform allows you to target an HSE manager in the industrial sector, a CFO, or a CTO with a level of precision you won't find elsewhere. We manage campaigns LinkedIn Ads for B2B companies in the industrial, SaaS, training, and data sectors, and it is the core activity of our LinkedIn Ads agency.

For this summary, we reviewed our published case studies and selected the six where LinkedIn Ads is a documented lever supported by data. Other cases use LinkedIn for organic prospecting and are not included here.

Key takeaways

  • At Toyota Material Handling France, LinkedIn Ads achieved a cost per lead of €71, as part of a strategy that generated €2.8M in pipeline over one quarter.

  • At SafeTeam Academy, the lead qualification rate increased by 70%, resulting in 18 qualified leads per month.

What results do we achieve on LinkedIn Ads, client by client?

Toyota Material Handling France: €2.8M in pipeline and a €71 LinkedIn CPL

Context: The French subsidiary of a material handling equipment manufacturer (forklifts, warehousing, maintenance, used equipment). Their clients include industrial firms, logistics companies, and major accounts, involving long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers per deal. We have been working together since August 2025.

Objective: Overhaul the HubSpot CRM and implement an acquisition strategy capable of generating a high volume of qualified leads.

On LinkedIn, we distribute company content via Document Ads and Video Ads, tailored by profession and sector. LinkedIn works in tandem with Google Ads, Bing Ads, an ABM approach for strategic accounts, and nurturing scenarios in HubSpot. Each campaign is tracked by cost per lead and SQL.

Q1 2026 results:

  • 521 leads and 320 MQLs;
  • €2.8M in pipeline sales pipeline;
  • €71 cost per lead on LinkedIn Ads.

Objective: Generate a continuous stream of leads and build brand awareness among technical profiles and decision-makers.

LinkedIn campaigns targeted CTOs, e-commerce directors, and enterprise accounts. We also replaced the free trial with a demo booking process, which better qualified incoming contacts.

Results for the first period:

  • 83 qualified leads from LinkedIn Ads;
  • a 95% reduction in LinkedIn cost per lead, which continued to decrease throughout the period;
  • over 260 qualified leads in total across all channels.

Immersive Factory: over 200 leads and a 37% drop in CPL

Context: Virtual reality training for workplace safety.

Goal: increase the number of leads without compromising their quality for the sales team.

We implemented job-function targeting focusing on HSE managers, HR directors, and training managers in priority sectors, using short videos that showcase the modules in real-world conditions. Subsequently, we added targeted company lists and retargeting for site visitors using the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Simultaneously, Google Ads covered searches related to safety training.

Results:

  • over 200 leads in a few months;
  • a 37% reduction in cost per lead;
  • 80% of leads qualified and sent directly to the sales team.

SafeTeam Academy: 70% increase in qualification using only LinkedIn Ads

Context: A provider of certification training in risk management and quality. LinkedIn Ads is their sole advertising channel.

Goal: improve lead qualification while keeping the cost per lead under control.

Two types of campaigns run in parallel. Lead Gen campaigns target decision-makers and training managers who are closer to making a purchase. Campaigns centered around a white paper reach a broader audience still in the discovery phase. Underperforming campaigns were gradually phased out, with their budgets reallocated to the segments that were converting.

Results:

  • a 70% increase in the lead qualification rate;
  • an average of 18 qualified leads per month.

JEMS Group: 38 qualified leads per month

Context: A company specializing in data management, industrialization, and value creation. Its B2B targets are difficult to reach.

Objective: Build a database of qualified contacts for marketing and sales teams, and secure a steady flow of leads.

We launched LinkedIn sponsored campaigns offering a white paper in exchange for full contact details. In parallel, we implemented outbound prospecting segmented by company size, sector, and job function.

Result: An average of 38 qualified leads per month, across two acquisition channels that now operate continuously.

Zei: Demo conversion rate increased from 3% to 10%

Context: A CSR management platform. The implementation of the CSRD created a period of high demand.

Objective: Increase the volume of qualified leads and structure a paid acquisition strategy that was previously managed in-house without a formal methodology.

On LinkedIn, we launched awareness campaigns featuring a white paper download, followed by retargeting on LinkedIn and Google. We then added an audience of influencers: chartered accountants and statutory auditors, who can recommend Zei to their own clients.

Results:

  • for white paper downloads, the demo booking rate rose from 3% to 10% after adding the influencer audience;
  • revenue targets were met by early September.

The Zei team used to only encounter their prospects once a year at trade shows. Now, they see the brand regularly in their LinkedIn feed.

What factors explain these LinkedIn Ads results?

Targeting starts with decision-maker job functions

For each of these accounts, we started by listing the roles to reach: HSE managers and HR directors at Immersive Factory, CTOs at Platform.sh, and logistics and purchasing management at Toyota. Criteria based on interests or audience size are then used to refine the targeting.

Campaigns offer content before requesting a meeting

White papers, Document Ads, demo videos: most people targeted on LinkedIn are not actively looking for a solution the day they see the ad. The content serves to establish an initial connection, which retargeting then nurtures until a demo request is made.

Tracking happens through the CRM

At Toyota, every campaign is evaluated by cost per lead and SQL. At SafeTeam, campaigns that generated off-target contacts were cut. Our 2026 B2B Ads study measures the impact of this type of management across 4 B2B accounts tracked over 10 months on Google Ads and Meta: by connecting the ad platform to the CRM and optimizing for qualified conversions, the qualification rate increased by up to 109% and the cost per qualified lead dropped by up to 47%. On LinkedIn, where each lead is more expensive, this tracking has an even greater impact.

LinkedIn is often combined with other channels

Across the six cases, only SafeTeam uses LinkedIn Ads without any other channel. In the other accounts, LinkedIn is paired with Google Ads, which covers active search intent, or with outbound, which contacts accounts directly. LinkedIn is then used to build brand awareness among decision-makers who are not yet actively searching.
